A complete rebranding was what The Trail Conservancy was looking for when they approached Foundry512 earlier this year. The goal was to help them relaunch their website to generate more visitors.
On their mission to position their organization as a respectable conservancy, TTC had plans to rebrand from The Trail Foundation to The Trail Conservancy and was now setting its sights toward a newly designed website.
TTC wanted to turn more of those users into memberships and regular trail visitors. The one problem: in order to make a great website, the old, outdated one would have to be tossed out and replaced with a new, scalable website that TTC members could update on their own.
The solution was to have some of Austin’s leading advertising agencies, GSD&M and Foundry512, team up to develop the perfect rebranding strategy for TTC. GSD&M came in and worked on setting up the structure for the rebranding and managing, with ease, the TTC renaming.
Foundry512’s important role was to then expand on every part of GSD&M’s guidelines, creating a website that could set itself apart from other conservancy organizations across the US.
The result was the development of an interactive VR experience inspired by Google Trek. The feature included a 360 interactive tour of the trails where users could click on any designated spot to see the history of the particular track.
The newly designed website also included sections where visitors could learn more about TTC’s amenities, ecosystems, and latest events which could synchronize with the Eventbrite app.
The approach proved successful, as the website generated up to 40,000 unique visitors a month. In addition, the VR tour became the 2nd most visited page on the site after the relaunch.
This relaunch was just the start for TTC as they continue to show people how dedicated they are to local conservation.
